New City Young Adults have had a great fall season so far!
We have been able to enjoy some amazing special events and dig deeper into God’s word this semester.
First, we kicked off the year with a delicious lunch. We were also blessed to go over to the Bouwman’s for a very tasty meal, and certainly the most aesthetic Thanksgiving dinner I’ve ever been to. And for Reformation Day, Joy and Peter Frielink hosted us at their home for food, pumpkin carving, and fellowship. A special thanks to Holly Cameron, Joy and Peter Frielink, Jewel Bouwman, and her parents for making these amazing events possible!
As we have gone through the fall season, we have also had the pleasure of slowly working our way through the book of James. So far we have seen James’s call to be “steadfast, effectual doers of the Word” (Jas 1:22). We also took a deep dive into the doctrine of justification to help us understand the second chapter of James.
It has been exciting to see some new faces coming out to our gatherings. It has also been a blessing to continue to see consistent commitment from the Young Adults in coming out to these events. Whether we are carving pumpkins or digging into the word, it is a joy to have such a tight-knit group, where we can encourage one another and grow deeper in our knowledge of Christ.
Please continue to pray for New City Young Adults as we look forward to deciding our service project and finishing up our study of James this semester.
