Sunday Worship Service

Come as you are! While many people like to dress up for our Sunday worship services, you are not required to dress in a certain way.

No, you do not. While God calls everyone to be generous and wise in our giving, we expect giving only from regular attenders and members of New City.

For free parking on Sundays only, please obtain a parking permit from a greeter at 28 Rebecca St. and park in the CanadaWide parking lot, just north of our building along Hughson St. Place the permit on your dashboard so that it is clearly visible through your windshield. Alternatively, street parking at metered spots is also free on Sundays.

• God Calls
  We believe God takes the initiative and awakens our hearts to worship Him. 

• We Respond
  As God awakens us to himself, we respond in singing, prayer, and confession.

• We Confess
  As we stand in the presence of a holy and merciful God, we are humbled by his grace, we confess our sin, and our need for his forgiveness.

• God Speaks
  The Lord speaks to us with living words from the Bible. The words of Scripture will be read, explained, and applied to our lives every week.

• We Commune
  Everyone united to Jesus by faith is invited to celebrate the Lord’s Supper every week as a sign of their union with Christ and with His church. 

• God Sends
  Nourished and strengthened by His Word and Spirit, God sends out his church on mission, with His blessing, to be a blessing to the world. After the service, everyone is invited to build relationships over coffee & refreshments. 

Yes, we offer a nursery for infants and toddlers up to 24 months. We also offer children’s Sunday School for preschoolers, kindergarten, and elementary-aged children up to and including grade 5. All these programs begin partway through the service, but we ask that you check your children in before the service. More information about our children’s ministry can be found here.

Yes. A small, quiet, and discrete room for nursing mothers is located down the hall from the nursery. Follow the signs or ask the children’s registrar for directions.
