A Request for Prayer

Dear church,

This is a simple, personal request for prayer, because the Lord is the sustainer of the sick and he calls us to pray for one another when we are unwell (James 5:13-18, Psalm 41).

Back in April, after a period of 6-8 months of breathing and sleeping difficulties, bleeding, headaches, watery eyes, and increasing fatigue, a specialist discovered a large mass in my right sinus cavity. Two biopsies and multiple scans later, the medical team has still not been able to determine the nature and cause of the problem. They have not definitively ruled out cancer, but every test has, thus far, come back negative for malignancy.

More testing, referrals, and procedures (including a possible surgery) await us in the weeks and months ahead. I remain in good hands with excellent medical help, for which I am grateful. But the Lord’s hands have proven to be even better; He has been an incomparable source of comfort, strength, and hope to us. As we walk through these uncertain days, we humbly ask that you would pray for me and my family, that the Lord will powerfully and clearly show his glory and grace through whatever lies before us.

Thank you so much, church family. We are so grateful for your kindness and care!

Moses
